Transylvanian Getaway – Culture and Nature around Brașov

Visit the three most iconic fortification of Brasov area. After being picked up from your location in Brasov area or the train station, start with Prejmer Citadel. This is a unique construction, being a peasant fortification, a Lutheran church, and a castle at the same time. 
Then move to Harman, where an even more authentic site awaits. Here we will see a 13th century church and 15th century paintings in the Chappel tower. 
Our next stop will be the Feldioara fortification. This reconstructed fort will offer us a real view and understanding of how people used to live inside these walls, and how their daily life looked like. 
Move then to the village of Miclăușoara, and enjoy a Szeklers lunch (not included) and visit the Kalnoky estate. The famous hunting castle of the noble Kalnoky family. We will visit the first floor of the building and if the time allows, have a short walk on the premises.

The visits are almost at an end for today, yet there is more to come. We now drive to the village of Vulcan where a traditional Saxon dinner awaits (included). This special place is run by the Lutheran congregation, and you will have the opportunity to walk freely around your accommodation, a 14th century Fortified Church. 

Today we enjoy a hike in the National Park of Piatra Craiului. We will visit a mountain hut where you’ll have the chance to serve a warm lunch (not included) in the middle of the mountains. After lunch we hike through pastures admiring the high ridge of limestone, fresh and clean air and a deep forest. Before reaching back to our car, we pass through the Zărnești Gorges, an impressive landmark of these mountains. 

Transfer back to your address in Brașov or Train Station.

NB: The tour starts at 09.00 AM from Brașov train station (or any other address in Brașov), so we recommend the first train from Bucharest at 6.11 arriving in Brașov at 8.41. We can offer private transfers from Bucharest or other cities at an extra cost.
