If you love wild landscapes, mountains and if you like spending a day moving in the nature and breathing fresh cool air, then this hike is for you. Discover the beauty of the Carpathians with a nice and international group, guided by a certified mountain guide speaking English. We bring fun and we create wonderful memories for our hikers.
By popular demand, we organize again the hike from last month. We invite you to a beautiful and easy hike in the mountains not far from Bucharest nor from Brașov: Bătrâna Peak and Doamnele Valley in Bucegi Natural Park. At the moment, the mountains are still covered with white ‘coats’ in part and with green carpets and colourful flowers at the same time, so they look spectacular! You shouldn’t miss that!

📍 Where? Bucegi mountains, near Peștera Hotel
📅 When? Saturday June 28th
〽️ The route goes steadily up on the beautiful valley of Doamnele (called ”The Ladies”) with a couple of beautiful waterfalls on the way. At the end of the ascension, we reach Bătrâna peak 2181 m (called ”the Old Woman” probably because we will feel like one after the climb!). The trail continues on a very panoramic ridge that will allow us to see all the surrounding mountains. We finally descend near Strungile peak and down to Padina area. We finish the circuit by walking next to the Cave of Ialomița and near an orthodox monastery, to thank God we made it this time too!
- waterproof hiking boots
- mountain clothing suitable for this season and temperatures
- head and neck accessories (scarf, hat, etc.)
- snow gaiters (optional, if it’s muddy)
- trekking poles (recommended)
- backpack (30 L)
- sunscreen, sun glasses
- waterproof and wind-stopper jacket
- water, food, snacks, thermos bottle with hot tea
- gloves if it’s too chilly
Transportation is not included, but if you need it, we will find you seats in other participants’ cars and you go car-sharing style.
For people arriving by train to Sinaia, we can offer 8 seats in our van. Departure from Sinaia at 8.35 after the train arrival.
Food is not included, so please bring whatever you like to eat when we take the lunch break with a view, on top of the mountain. There are no huts serving food on the way, only at the end of the hike. There are however a couple of shelters on the trail, so we can eat our food inside, if the weather is nasty.
The tariff is 180 lei/person for a group of minimum 6 people and includes
- guiding services with a certified mountain guide
- safe organization of the tour
- lots of fun during the day
- photo & video album at the end of the trip
- transfer Sinaia – starting point in the morning and return in the afternoon for people who need it
