Hike 4 Expats in Romania
Hello hikers and happy new year!
If you love wild landscapes, mountains and if you like spending a day moving in the nature and breathing fresh cool air, then this hike is for you. Discover the beauty of the Carpathians with a nice and international group, guided by a certified mountain guide speaking English, French and Spanish. We bring fun and we create wonderful memories for our hikers.
We invite you to a beautiful and medium-level hike in the mountains not far from Bucharest nor from Brașov: Bucegi Natural Park and hike to Malaiesti Chalet. At the moment, the mountains are covered with white ‘coats’ in part, so they look spectacular! You shouldn’t miss that! 
So tell your friends (expats or Romanians) and join us!
📅 PROGRAMME
📍 Where? Bucegi mountains, start near Rasnov (we will send the meeting point after your registration)
📅 When? Sunday January 18th
〽️ The route goes through pine forests and a couple of meadows, where we will enjoy fresh powder. Once we reach Mălăiești chalet at almost 1700 m alt., we will take a rest, have some hot tea & cake/ hot soup and enjoy the 360-degree view over one of the most beautiful valleys in Bucegi mountains. Then we head down to the same place we started from. The way down is always fun in the snow, and easier 
- waterproof hiking boots
- mountain clothing suitable for this season and temperatures
- head and neck accessories (scarf, hat, etc.)
- snow gaiters and spikes (recommended especially if it’s icy/ snowy/ muddy)
- trekking poles (recommended)
- backpack (30 L)
- sunscreen, sun glasses
- waterproof and wind-stopper jacket
- water, food, snacks, thermos bottle with hot tea
- gloves
Transportation is not included, but if you need it, we will find you seats in other participants’ cars and you go car-sharing style.
For people arriving by train to Brașov, we can pick up 8 persons in our van and share the costs.
Food is not included but you can order hot food & drinks at the chalet. For the rest of the day, please bring sandwiches, bars, sweets, whatever you like.
The tariff is 180 lei/person for a group of minimum 6 people and includes
- guiding services with a certified mountain guide
- safe organization of the tour
- lots of fun during the day
- photo & video album at the end of the trip
It does NOT include transfers or any other expenses and tickets.
