DESCRIPTION:		\n						\n						\n					\n			\n						\n				\n							\n						\n				\n				\n				\n									Hello hikers and welcome to the Carpathians!If you love wild landscapes, mountains and if you like spending a day moving in the nature and breathing fresh cool air, then this hike is for you.  Discover the beauty of the Carpathians with a nice and international group, guided by a certified mountain guide speaking English, French and Spanish. We bring fun and we create wonderful memories for our hikers. We invite you to a beautiful and easy/medium-level hike in the mountains not far from Bucharest nor from Brașov: Baiului Mountains and hike to Garbova Chalet. At the moment, the mountains are covered with white ‘coats’ in part, so they look spectacular! You shouldn’t miss that!  So tell your friends (expats or Romanians) and join us! 								\n				\n				\n				\n							\n			\n		\n						\n				\n				\n				\n					📅 PROGRAMME				\n				\n				\n				\n									📍 Where? Baiului mountains, start in Azuga, finish in Predeal (we will send the meeting point after your registration)📅 When? Sunday February 15th〽️ The route  goes firstly through the pine forest and we will probably enjoy fresh powder. Then we pass through different clearings, and finally  reach a small peak at 1521 m alt. from where the view is amazing 360 degrees around! The route is a historical one and your guides will tell you what happened there in WW I. After some photo sessions and fun in the snow, we will head to Gârbova chalet in the nearby where they serve food and hot drinks. You can relax and get warm in the cozy hut, while enjoying the views. Then we head down to Predeal ending in a different ski resort, but very close to Azuga (10 minutes by train). From the railway station in Predeal, we take the train back home.🔝 Distance 10 km round trip, Elevation +500 m, -700 m, Level: easy-medium								\n				\n				\n				\n							\n			\n		\n						\n				\n				\n				\n							\n							\n					\n													\n															\n								\n														\n												🎒 EQUIPMENT\n					\n					waterproof hiking bootsmountain clothing suitable for this season and temperatureshead and neck accessories (scarf, hat, etc.)snow gaiters and spikes (recommended especially if it’s icy/ snowy/ muddy)trekking poles (recommended)backpack (30 L)sunscreen, sun glasseswaterproof and wind-stopper jacketwater, food, snacks, thermos bottle with hot teagloves\n				\n							\n					\n													\n															\n								\n														\n												🚙 TRANSPORTATION\n					\n					Transportation is not included, but if you need it, we will find you seats in other participants’ cars and you go car-sharing style. However, we highly recommend traveling by train on this busy road in order to avoid the huge traffic jams (train IR 10021 Bucharest – Azuga 6.57 AM – 8.50 AM; make sure you buy your ticket days in advance in order to find seats! Do not buy your return ticket, there are plenty of trains in the afternoon/ evening).\n				\n							\n					\n													\n															\n								\n														\n												🥪 FOOD\n					\n					Food is not included but you can order hot meals & drinks at the chalet.
